Measuring Your Distance from CPM

If we want to see a CPM break out, we need to start with the end in mind, figure out where we are, and make plans to bridge the gap. Of course, following a checklist or doing some “magic action(s)” isn’t going to bring about a movement of multiplying churches – that job belongs to the Spirit of God alone. We can’t make the wind blow, but we can choose to have the sails on our boats raised for when it does.

If we don’t know how far away from a CPM we are, how can we move ourselves closer?

In his book, Church Planting Movements, David Garrison suggests using the 10 Universal Elements in Every CPM, the 10 Common Elements in CPMs, and the 7 Deadly Sins as diagnostics for our precise distance from CPM.
